:O This is sooooo cool :O too bad my experience with animating anything at all is below 0 xD I don’t believe I would even be able to understand your animation language xD
I WANT IIIIITTTT!!!!!
THAT’S SO COOL
I will have to actually take a look at your animation to know what is happening. Upload it somewhere if possible.
I actually did like you said but when I dragged my folder into the System Animator, it was blank, I really don’t understand what went wrong. I’ve tried countless times to correct it but it never works, I must be stupid! I give up. Thank you for your help~
Yeah. Basically you break the “bright” version into parts and the gadget will overlay them over the “background” (idle) pic to create the animated effects (by changing their opacity). Things should be pretty self explanatory if you actually take a look at those image parts used in my FF3 Lightning animation. The “animate.js” used is pretty simple too.
I see, thank you! So I’m supposed to create 2 versions of a picture and break the brightest one in parts then save them independantly like in your tutorial? I planned to use a BG and a main picture, so I guess I should put the main pic in the BG and not separate them for the animation? Could you please tell me what kind of script (animate.js) did you use for this one? Thank you~
Which part(s) of the animation making process did you have problems with? The basic idea is to design an “idle” state (by removing lighting, darkening, etc) and an “active” state (sometimes it’s simply the original pic untouched) of the source picture, and then break the “active” picture into parts so that each part can be animated independently.
Well, I watched all your tutorials, but I still couldn’t manage to make an animation like this one (a static picture in the foreground and the background being illuminated when the music plays), this is my favourite animation, and I’d like to ask you how exactly you made this one? I couldn’t managed to write a proper script either, so you’d be really nice if you could help me! Thank you~
FFXIII is a really awesome game! Just completed it, and must say it beats all the other series. To get the whole game, visit DOWNLOADFFXIII [dot] TK
There is a video tutorial showing how this kind of animations can be made.

From now and on, I will try to include some basic info on how each featured animation is made. Some recent videos already include such info.
