Final Fantasy XIII (PS3-EN) – Boss 8 “Dreadnought” (NCU)
Boss 8: Dreadnought No Crystarium Usage Challenge No Equipment Leveling Normal Battle Speed Yet another two part boss fight. Dreadnought HP (1st Part): 17940 HP (2nd Part): 44850 Strength: 120 Magic: 73 Strategy: Use Bully to put Deshell on the Dreadnought as well as put Faith on everyone. Use Tri-Disaster to build up stagger as well as do damage, and use Diversity or a Potion to heal. Once Steam Clean removes Deshell, use Smart Bomb to debuff it again. The first part will go 3 regular attacks, Steam Clean if it has debuff, and then its Demolishing Arm attack. the second part will have 2 flaming regular attacks, followed by a Steam Clean if it needs it, and then the Wrecking Ball. Mission 30: Syphax, the Insidious No Crystarium Usage Challenge Normal Battle Speed A bit of an odd fight because there will always be other enemies, but nothing too bad. Syphax HP: 2024000 Strength: 327 Magic: 1065 Numidia HP: 17600 Strength: 327 Magic: 200 Strategy: Start off in Tireless Charge, Blitzing the numerous Numidia constantly until Syphax comes out. Switch to Variety to build up the chain and get Slow on it, then use Tireless Charge to recover and stabilize the chain gauge. Switch to Assassination to get Deshell on it as well, then alternate Relentless Assault paradigms; it should die within or shortly after one stagger.
