Wtf was that Bulbasaur thing’s actual name? They sure love their long, hard-to-pronounce enemy names in FF games I tell ya. It was like Aster Prolifiterian or some crazy shit like that…
Duodecim battles totally do this song justice (though that goes for all it’s battle themes). The fights are as epic as the music. They’re not as close-up on the action but the action is much more immersive than a regular JRPG battle since you have much greater control over your character.

Using pheonix down means that you are doing something totally wrong or at least making significant mistakes. But I can’t tell what mistakes exactly.

i got to where he was like 1/20 of life, and i got stagger twice, and used odin, but hope died out on me and i already used my 10 pheonix downs on him thiis fight , so yeah, then i almost killed him, nd he did tht flip thing and destroyed me D: any help?
when i faced this guy i had to use the things that gave you braver and stuff like that.

LOL. that happened to me. I got mad and I was like away from the game system. Took me 20 minutes to finish the guy so I’m like finally I don’t care how bad the ratings are as long as I’m done LOL
Use Fortisol and Aeroisol before getting on the lift, this helps a TON- you start battle protected and have haste for a long period of time. The key to winning this is constantly shifting between paradigms- after it uses a big attack, use medic/medic for a fast heal and then switch to Commando/Synergist to make sure it puts status ailment on the monster so the stagger won’t drop fast- then blast it repeatedly with ravager/ravage – Repeat. You’ll defeat it pretty fast.

Wow. I have advice for you guys that can’t beat this thing! I got sick and tired of this after 20 minutes of battling and Lightning died when it was almost defeated. Shut off the xbox and walked off for a few hours and came back. Here’s what you do:
Make sure to have presets in paradigms:
Commando/Synergist
Medic/Medic
Ravager/Ravager

all you have to do is use pheonix down
wow you got REALLY lucky @ 7:00…that attack would have killed Lightning for sure, good thing Hope set off the stagger lol
You can’t compare bosses like that because of the lvl difference and pretty much everything gets more difficult the minute you step into Pulse
And pressing square in the menu screen tells you so if you don’t know what a passive ability does, just press square

v.v did this earlier today! Damn it was hard! hope died half way though the battle so i had to finish it just as lightning swiching back and forth between healing and commander staying in commander mainly ugh it took ages lol. stupid hope.. dies with like 1 hit >;(

This guy wasnt even that bad lol. He was one of the easiest bosses i have faced so far lol. Im up to chapter 11 and cant beat Barthandelus because i had no idea wat Stagger lock was lol. Oh well i know wat it does now
