Final Fantasy XIII: Boss Guide

FF13 Boss Guide. Rather then do a full blown guide, Luke polled the community to find out what bosses gave people the most dread. So what Bosses are the cream of crop in difficulty? Watch our Guide to find out! www.gamezone.com
This was the first time I battled the final boss, and I five starred it first time. It was a disappointing boss, that’s for sure. Although I panicked a little when it used Doom on Lightning. English PS3 Version. Equipment: Lightning: Ultima Weapon * Warrior’s Wristband Lv 8 Sprint Shoes * Power Glove Lv 1 Fang: Venus Gospel Lv 29 Shield Talisman Lv 1 Imperial Armlet Lv 1 Goddess’ Favor Lv 1 Hope: Eagleton Lv 21 Shaman’s Mark Lv 5 Shaman’s Mark Lv 9 Rainbow Anklet Lv 1 Paradigms Used: Light/Fang/Hope MED/SAB/SYN RAV/RAV/RAV COM/COM/RAV

@AJ4710 i know i use a guid every time i need help on a boss….
@pricevegeta1345 well they did every boss, so if you haven’t yet beat the game, I recommend going to them for help.
@AJ4710 nvrmind i beat him
@pricevegeta1345 go to gamexplain
You’re wrong about your strategy for destrudo on Bartandelus. The more you attack him during this charge, the less damage it does.
I killed Cid in 2:45. Couldve been faster too. I beat Bahamut in 1:24, while fucking around
.
why the fuck is sid and dokan whatever the fuck his name is on the list sid is fucking easy i killed him on my first try i used tri disaster and staggered then used cerberus he was not that hard dokan was not hard either he barely had any strong attack why isn’t barthendelus phase 2 on the list
this dident help with shit
i managed to crush Sid before he metamorphosised, i was lucky
lol you say no loss when hope dies.. but i wasted ALL of my pheonix downs on him, and then when i got to the dogs things
and when sazh died i couldnt revive him which rendered vanille useless.
Sid is actually very easy, just stagger him and have double commandos and time it so that you use smite. It takes 1/3 of his HP and you shoul’dve done more than 1/3 from before.
you mean lather rinse repeat not rinse lather repeat
@kNIGHTWING01 Classics will always remain classics. There is no denying that, especially when it comes to rpgs personally, the rpg for me this year will be Golden Sun DS. I will be looking forward to your next few vids especially your review of the game in the coming weeks God Bless and have a good week.
@wolffster25
I lost the 1st time I fought him, 2nd time used a shroud and made sure to use Super Solider to get my defense up. I didn’t figure out the complex weapon upgrade system till Chapter 7. While this game is better then 12, its not better then the classic FF games. Very different, I can’t say that I enjoyed my time if this game. Once my vids are done, I can’t wait to get rid of the 300 GB off my hard drive. Im almost done with the Summons and Review. I will post them this week.
@kNIGHTWING01 Well I suppose one other advantage I had was that my Crystarium was maxed out plus I upgraded my equipment a little (the gladius and the hawkeye to level 6). I also switched to Commando to launch him when I staggered him. Still I found him incredibly easy plus I have played a ton of different rpg’s with different battle systems and tactics. BTW did you find the Turtle hard the first time you fought him?
@wolffster25
The Turtle boss thing was polled by the gaming community on Screwattack,Gamefaqs and Gamespot. That creature was on practically everybody’s list. Pus many of us over at GZ had issues with this boss, that and Odin. Thanks for the comment though.
I don’t know why people have trouble on that first boss you mentioned. All you have to do is cast Libra and he is incredibly easy plus it seams more people forget that “discretion is the better part of valor.” In laymans terms think before you act.
@Eurashal And i still only got 4 stars while 2 min under the time limit -_- i guess my 360 hates me
@Eurashal Yea i did that. I started with Com(light), rav(hope), Syn(fang) to buff, then switched to Rav, Rav, Com and got him up to stagger, the i built it up to 999.99 and switched to Com, rav, com. Hmm i may try fang with highwind, just anoying that if it doesnt kill it, it removes the stagger. and they all have their * ultimate weapons. So i suppose i could try just having the *level 2 ones. thanks.
@bigdaveoncampus The Gold Watch is obtained by defeating Mission 64. It increases the time by 1.1. So let’s say the target time is 1 minute, the watch will make it about 1 minute, 10 seconds. It’s not the most useful item, but it can give a few vital seconds.
To kill Orphan quickly, just cast Haste, Bravery/Bravera on your team, and Deprotect on Orphan, quickly stagger it, then beat the crap out of him. Highwind will be a good idea for the final blow if you use Fang.
@Eurashal So that means that as i have (after ages) finished the crystariums, and have most of the ultimate weapons…im gonna have to kill him pretty quick. also isnt there like a watch thing that increases the time allowance? cheers
Finally got the damn trophy for this boss. Kept using that attack that casts Pain and Fog on Sazh, meaning I had to waste time getting the debuffs off.
@fizzcranker The target time becomes smaller (AKA meaning that you have less time to beat the boss) if you have higher stats and strong weapons. So maybe try equipping weaker weapons and you should have more time.
I cant get 5 stars on this, im not sure why. I can beat him in like 50 seconds where it takes you 1:15 seconds. WTF? I dont get it!

@Eurashal
I’m pretty much torn between the two, as far as fanboyism.
@WhiteLycanXII “I’m no one’s slave!”
Lightning is awesome. So is Sazh.
Just beat him last night.
It’s sorta like Yu Yevon all over again.
But…
“Find your own road to hell!”
Damn. I am a fanboy for this woman.
Oh well, at least this is better than Yu Yevon
@shadic1010 It depends on the Situation. Axis Blade is another great one for Light. Lionheart is stronger but Axis can fill up the ATB gauge as you attack so you can get more hits in.
It is the best sword right?
@shadic1010 To get Ultima Weapon you have to level Lionheart to * level then use Scarletite to upgrade Lionheart to Ultima Weapon.
Lionheart can be found in Chapter 12 or you can buy it for 28,000 Gil from Plautus’s Workshop.
Thanks this helped a lot but how do u get ultima wep? I have Helter-Skelter.
And venus Gospel and Eagleton?
Btw got trophy lol.
@xSSBBxPitofDeathx The wearer starts the battle with Haste. It’s not permanent, I think it lasts the same amount of time as a casted Haste.
what do Sprint Shoes even do? I’m confused.
@ArmedWolf001 Just the final form.
Do you have to 5 star all fights in this session, or just the final form of Orphan to get that trophy?
@Eurashal
Yeah well… xbawcks haz halo ps3 haz unchated!!1111!
Why are we doing this again?
@MrOlliester
dat cuz u got 360 vershun!!!!11111ONE11!!111!
Just kidding, no one flame me for saying that, we’re friends.
Did you get the achievement?
U got 1337 m4d h4x 5k1llz!
You were quicker than me anyway, took me 2:12 to do this.
thanks a lot
