This is a guide on how to fight the Aster Protoflorian in Final Fantasy XII. You encounter this enemy at the top of an elevator during Chapter Five – Part Six: “Operation NORA” Sorry about the hissing on the voiceover, I just picked up a headset I found in my room. My footage is recorded with a HAVA Wireless HD. It SHOULD be viewable in 1080p. If you want a guide on any boss battle PM me and I’ll see what I can do. If I should do another video like this I’ll record the audio with a video camera and see how that works. _ – _ – _TACTIC_-_-_ When you go into the battle you will want their Crystarium sectoins filled and 3 TP Gauges full. I don’t have 3 TP Gauges to summon Odin so I fail this run. You will probably also want to equip anti-element equpment on your characters. You want to start off by having your paradigm set to “Supersoldier” so Hope will buff himself and Lightning, then swap to “Slash & Burn” so you can fill the chain gauge, once it is full you want to swap to “Dualcasters” so you can do as much elemental damage on the target whilst it is staggered. Remember to swap back to “Yin & Yang” or “Supersoldier” at any point, to replenish health or buffs. It’s also important to remember what resistance spells Hope has as a Synergist, swapping to “Supersoldier” at the right time will help your party resist the enemies magical attacks.

@runekiller4210 how did yu get army of one?
Vanille must like pain lolz
Good thing you have the Growth Egg!
The music here is so freakin’ epic.
After trying more than a dozen times, I finally beat this guy. …then my game crashed. T.T
This helped alot! My strategy was pretty much based on this video: Start w/ Heros charge, auto battle until everyone has haste, then switch to coordination (rav/syn/med) and auto battle until he’s at around 130% staggered. Switch to tri disaster and unleash hell. Once he’s staggered, use army of one, and switch to relentless assault mid-animation. Your ATB gauge should be filled. Then just go through a cycle in commando, and switch back to tridisaster. Repeat until he’s out of stagger. Then, if
kk sooo i got like 3k less hp then your guys…. should i grind up my other rolls first cause i’m like at this guy lol
This guy was pretty easy, beat him in my first try, but man was he annoying
it took me like an hour to beat this guy
it took me like an hour to beat this guy
@TheWesT89 this one is really intense and fun. also orphan and vanilles summon is good fight
what’s the most action packed boss battle on ff13
Yes, only in ravager, but you use it and change to Comando after.
This is guy is just too hard!
@Devilangelofsky
It can only be used in Ravager
@liam1393 so u know the infinite health thing rite well then i might add u but are u telling the full truth or r u effing with us
@Zimzky1991 they train alot before leaving oerba!
@john5246 Hope is a synergist. Synergists power up allies, powering up is called buffing.
Does army of One makes more damage in Commando Role?
i need to go to the army surplus store
I can NOT kill this guy, I took care of the first one fine, but THIS guy, GAH!!!111!1!1
@Zimzky1991 and and and and i have 12k health ahehehe
@Zimzky1991 and and and and dont avaoid a monster and do ceith missions
how do u have already like 8000 PV?
wtf?!
i wanted this boss fight 2 be more like the cid fight….he had sword why not use it….this is the only thing i didnt like about this game
still cant beat him. Hes way too hard for me. Although im not especially good at turn based RPGs
I wish they gave you this boss after you get Fang
no joke today i beat this boss on my second try….i felt like a champion
@DASKATERKID true
@lmpulseKillz ok thanks
I don’t think you have to go to Supersolider if you have ageisil on, while you’re riding on that lift.
@NewAgeRetroHippie2 level your abilities to the point where you get it.
I don’t have any of that stuff
@NarutoRawrrX3 I know how you feel! I hate when that happens, just when you think you’ve won BAM you die! gauge (i think thats what its caled) fill up so fast?
@NarutoRawrrX3 I know how you feel! I hate when that happens, just when you think you’ve won BAM you die!
I got it’s life down so much that it probably would have only took two more hits to defeat it, and then I died.
I was pissed.
…this took me over 45 minutes, but then again i didnt have my characters fully developed
@NewAgeRetroHippie2 to be honest I can’t remember, most FF’s 5 is about max.
@GregPollard I wanted to know how to obtain multiple accessory slots and then I realized that I had 2 of them.(I am only half way through the game but I got it like last month) So now could you tell me up to how many you obtain?
@NewAgeRetroHippie2 As in, how do you equip them or how do you get two accessory slots? A lot of people don’t realise, but every FF game hinges on how many slots and what accessories you have.
how did you wear two accessories?
I used war&peacem archmage and dualcasting….did not start with fortisol nor aegisol….he was rather easy but very annoying,
Didn’t really have much problem with him as i had with Odin.
hopes health is so low that spin thing kills him half the time
@xXShadiwXx Yeah I figured this would be a lot of peoples “That One Boss” so I made sure I was world’s first getting this up, well, outside of Japan lol.
@sagexp696 I give you a million internets in return, good sir.
@redsteel6 Aegisol and Fortisol get you through the fight, as does summoning, but obv I kinda wanted to get this out there so people could see how to utilise their spare gambit slots and how to plan out your shifting. This game turned out to be a 60 hour movie where you press A, fuck that, and fuck Bulbasaurs.
FF Versus XIII is based on the more hack and slash play-style of Crisis Core, I can’t wait.
(Two words: Agiesol&Fortisol)-this boss was the bigggest pain in the dick ever fathomed for creation in a game. Thanks tho, it wouldve taken me 10,000 more tries without this guide lol
and FUCK bulbasaurs..
Thanks a million
@iiiSinner Good stuff, I’m glad I was world first for doing the guide.
This helped a crap load. Beat the Aster thingy first time after watching this without using Odin!
And I did it within four minutes. (:
