Final Fantasy XIII (13) Limited Edition Soundtrack Unboxing
This is a complete unboxing of the item, meaning that the drama CD included was also unboxed as the item in the other videos did not. I got the soundtrack off Ebay as a pre-order item and in end the total amount was .21 CDN (.99 US) which was good cause now they’re over 0. Oddly enough, the item was shipped from Taiwan and is probably an import, but that doesn’t mean that it isn’t the real thing. Either way, this thing arrived on Feb 5th so the wait wasn’t too long. My Review: This is my personal review on this soundtrack and this was written before the actual game was released. The soundtrack had good qualities and I would say fits nicely into what Final Fantasy XIII is. The FF13 theme is simple and innocent which is very much like how the soundtrack was packaged. Like many of the FF pieces, there are always several tunes which are amazing and some that were just there as filler. What I found most interesting is that many of the pieces have a dark undertone. There are very few tunes which depict anything that would be “happy” and many sounded like life changing missions. This somewhat contradicts to the simple and innocent feeling as it is telling you something completely different. Like a different personality under the skin or a dark memory from the past. The individual character themes did not seem to fit in terms of what has been visually presented and it confuses me as to how it would apply to each character. I have a feeling Hamauzu had some difficulty …

I want this so bad, but I’m so cash strapped.
@GunzTheDuel Thank you so much! Very helpful! I got my answers finally. Ready to buy one! ^_^
@restlessmind85 every vocal track is in english except the ending song. This soundtrack does not contain “My Hands” by Leona Lewis, it has “Kimi ga Iru Kara” by Sayuri Sugawara as was relased in the Japanese version of FFXIII. Other than that, all the tracks are virtually the same.
Anyone who bought this item please tell me if the vocal tracks are also in Japanese lyrics or in English? I really want to buy this limited edition but I have to make sure I would be able to understand the lyrics of the songs that have vocals. Thanks!
i have a xbox360 and kinect!
want it so bad but LBP2 will coming shortly
wow they should’ve made the art book hardcover i mean its final fantasy you want to have epicness in the collectors edition
1:30 – 2:00 = Multiple ‘that’s what she said’ jokes haha
I have a feeling that because of the intensity of the graphics and the some-what complicated story line, they need simplisity somewhere
Anyway i think when it comes to packaging the simpler the better, it means they beleive that the thing that packaging is need for is so good that it sells its self and dosent need fancy graphics on the front
i have never seen someone show everything! i wish unboxers were like you!!!
The bonus disk front is that blank that reminds of a recordable cd.
Like the old school desk gd i remember them in when i was at school
10th Prestige lobby on Modern Warfare 2, 1600 Microsoft points. Xbox 360 only…..

@Flagged4awesome Yes, all music from the Japanese ver. of FFXIII is found on the soundtrack. Square (as far as I know) has never shown any “making of” with their games. Its probably because their game is so popular and unique, that they don’t want other companies copier their ideas. What do you mean was this for 360 or ps3? its a soundtrack. Works on anything that plays CD’s
are all the songs you find in the game on the soundtrack cds? also the art book seemed rather poor, i’d love to see the process of making the 3d models and such, which was more what i had expected from it, but i guess they hold their cards close to their chest when it comes to production of their products. anyways, thanks for the vid, helped me decide wether or not to get a collectors edition
oh and was this for xbox 360 or ps3?
Hey man, I know this may sound like a dumb question but how much did this cost you? Like in total including S + H? Also, did you like the music? I think so far of the tracks that I have heard from the soundtrack, Lightning’s theme is the only one I really like. Nice to see more classical musicians appreciating great work. Final Fantasy has a history of making good scores though.
@aapinator
The white gloss box is clean and looks sophisticated. Its all nicely presented so why would you expect anything else?
@STUDDEDnet I’ve just had the same thing happen. Is yours by Miya Records? Apparently they’re a company in Taiwan that produce bootleg copies of anime CDs, game soundtracks and J-pop records e.t.c. Bit disappointed with it now!
it’s the second time that’s happened to me on ebay recently, losing confidence in ebay now, I never had problems in the past.
u think its an 5´000 $ game , -.-
You saying “I highly dislike … and Asia” makes you sound kinda racist but anyway. Yes, I found the whole design concept to be odd for FFXIII. There’s usually more complexity with the product designs but they decided to simplify it. Perhaps its to have a more western look to it.
