Low level battle against Hecatoncheir on my 1st playthrough. This was the hardest boss up to this point for me so far, possibly because of the big difficulty jump in chapter 11 as I was struggling to beat most of the enemies in the area around this boss, I’m obviously severely under leveled though, as you can see I have an additional 600 HP through accessories and just barely even broke 2k with Fang who I believe has the 2nd highest amount of HP of all characters, in the battle against the boss however I only had 2x 250 HP accessories as I forgot to save after buying them and came off it. Heca’s gestalt gauge seems to fill faster when using Saboteur over Ravager so use sab/com (Fang didn’t seem to do much as a Sab) when he’s not attacking and sab/sen when he is, after his attacks end switch back to sab/com and restore your HP with Renew, after both Renews have been used then just use med/sen and make sure Vanille has enough HP to survive some AoE’s and Fang has enough to survive the full onslaught, 1.5k+ for Vanille and the same for Fang is ok, even less for Fang if you cure her whilst she’s being hit and all the more easier when you have a much higher magic stat! If you have alot more HP than I do then the battle will be really easy with this strategy.

@SASubstance wow thanks for the link. the menu and gamplay reminds me of kingdom hearts 2 i cant wait, not big on final fantasy games because i hate turned base its so boring to me. so far im likeing what im seeing. now all we need is a big triangle popping up every 5 seconds and ill feel right at home lol.

@AnthonyTheAwesome500 just to let you know it was stated (forgot where i read it but it was an offical comment) that the gameplay was slowed down for this video…. it is much faster and icons are removed as well as there are 3 other characters actually in this fight scene but SQ didnt want to reveal who they were just yet… the latest trailer looks amazing btw!! :O alot more gameplay shown

*But anyways, I wouldn’t mind if the game play is lacking as long as the story is good. That’s why I always by a FF game anyways. But it’s hard to tell if the game play is good or not because I always find that you really don’t know until you actually try it.

@AnthonyTheAwesome500 The combat have been slowed to give us the opportunity to see correctly Noctis… Nomura said that at normal speed, we wouldn’t had seen enough of the movements made…
wow the first gameplay i see and it doesnt look that good. comabt looks really slow. since its being made by the same people who made kingdom hearts i was expecting fast flashy combat. this reminds how crisis core played. u mash a button he does a combo, then pauses then does another combo. just made it boring after awhile. dont get wrong i love crisis core as a psp game but i was expect more from a console game. well game isnt finish so they have alot of time to tweek and fix things.

@DarkstarrLu aw sucks lol and yeah I sorta doubted it. I did think of how some people mix the whole date thing like maybe it means 1st November 2011 and not 1st Jan 2011. A bunch of games just came out with there trailers all stating the 1-1-11 its Numerology at work these game companys are twisted.

OMG Blood.
It’s pretty easy…just start out in Sab/Sen and get Deshell and Imperil on him. Then just alternate between Rav/Com (when he’s resting) and Rav/Sen when he’s about to attack so that he hits fang instead. Use Med/Sen when you need to heal Fang up. Otherwise, you should always be in Rav/Com or Rav/Sen – took me about 1:15.

the sad thing is my characters were over level 3
still cant beat him, i couldnt get past the 4 robots before him so im gonna grind till i can beat them then try again on hekaton

Bad News. But my charecters were 300Hp each underneath his. And I didnt change the battlespeed or anything. I just bought one of the better magic wands for Vanille and supercharged it to lvl19. After I gave Fang my two Physical Wall +5 / Resist Physical 20% accessories. So basically she had a minumum of 100 off from the Wall off each one of his Pummle attacks and the two 20% added up to 36% (I dont get the conversion but whatever). Which meant I could go a round without healing.
Omg, it took me half an hour or so to figure out how to beat this jark. I did it at first with low hp stuff and got pummeled, then I lvl my ass up for like an hour and beat the crap outta him, – then my friend goes < you shoulda just lowered the battle speed, gives u like 2 times the attacks you can dish out when he is not doing anything`—— kick his face in
@Devslash how can your characters be so low at this point? at this point ive got fang at 4300 hp? and this is my first playthrough aswell. lol but it still took me a few attempts!
battle speed makes all the difference set it to slow

I did this fight with 1k hp 
hope I helped and oh it would help if ya had a docotrs code if not nvm 
first b4 you start go to settings in the menu, change the game speed to slow, then goto your paradigm selection and have sab/sab and med/sen THATS all! you should have 3000 seconds so you can really take your time
