An easy way to do it is to set the paradigm to sab/med/med and have vanille poison him with light and hope healing.once he does merciless judgment turn to salvation so that they all heal.you could add in some more paradigms like evened odds and relentless assault. once orphan gets staggered when he’s about 3/4 of the way through his life you should summon hecoteincheir.I summon him when he uses dies iraes because my characters are abit under leveled.if you do this you should beat him in 10mins

i done this fight in 6:20 thnx to your help i thank you for that… and they still only gave me 4 stars for it…. and im 4 minutes short of the time limit for the battle

i got 4 stars -.-
i frickin got hit by his 1 hit KO attack 5 TIMES IN A ROW!! WHAT!?!?

Orphan is too hard!
i like how when your in orphans cradle, your able to go to gran pulse for as long as you wish and you can go back at any time. I was able to finish tons of missions and level up my characters to their max. makes this boss alot easier.
For this was a very easy boss
i kept debuffing orphan and then attack him till stagered then i kill him 
my team was Fang/Snow/Vanille
Thanks for this tut so much i spent like 30 times on this fight but after watching this did it first try such a good but hard game thumbs up for final fantasy 13!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I dont get it, Im doing fine, im on full health, and then Orphan just clicks his fingers and KO’s me… instantly!!
