it takes about 1-2 hours to get out of the first “dungeon” as you say. and to get to the “Fun” part of the game it takes about 12-15 hours because you don’t have to bother with looking around before getting to that point. Chapter 11 is when sidequests comes. and you will spend like 5-10 hours on chapter 11 only before coming back to that place on chapter 13 (after the final boss)
This game is awsome, you might not like but the majority of ppl who bought it really enjoy it. Oh and i’m 14 and I understand the story, so If you don’t that makes you pretty retarded.
no offence but i found your review more tedious than ff13
the game is linear in the beginning but if you really get into the world and game mechanics its a brilliant playthrough
Oh, come on, it’s not hard to understand what Cocoon and Pulse is, lol.
omg go slap urself, the game is amazing
im loving gravy in the modcast, he’s a good addition
got i hate british accents
i thought he said “woah”…learn how to pronounce “world” u british twat
The linear description reminds me of Orphen: Scion of Sorcery.
Well I already heard the review on the modcast but you guys deserve my praise here and on itunes ^-^ (This Is Digi haven’t bothered posting on noobtoob yet)
Well said
@DKG333
No GAME should take 20 hours to get good.
Glad that you still put this review back after they took the previous down.
This game SUUUUCKSSSSS!!!!!!!
No final fantasy should take 20 hours to get good.
@Thatswhatshesaid3100 Thats pretty good, start looking for that experience egg, as soon as you get to chapter 13. I remember when I finally got that, I was kicking myself for not finding it quicker.
Im on mid chapter 11 disc 3 my gamplay is 30 hrs so far
@jagginz somebody already mentioned that i mis-spoke… i meant FF13
Buddt you sure you talking bout the right game ?You say ff7 yet you mention ff13 stuff in there.
48 hours sounds reasonable, you are avoiding the hunts though, which is smart. One fight on a hunt took my an hour to beat. It was a spherical type guy. Reason being, his defense is impossible, his offense is wicked, and his HP is in the millions. Then for another hunt you have to beat two of them! Try finishing Titan’s trials, and tell me how long that takes you, I’m guessing another 10 hours at least. (Make sure you pick up the exp egg while you are at it, or you will hate life.
I liked the game, my only beef with it is that i wish you could explore cocoon post-game. I also wish that the themepark in nautilis had games. I loved nautilis!
I beat it in 48 hours, and that’s including about 10 hunts to unlock chocobo riding. That was the only thing i referenced the guide for. Tack on maybe an additional hour of retries. If you count the hunts then it may go up much higher considering you have to grind a lot and you have to plan out in which order to do your hunts to get the most effective items.
@wherewhenwhat Theres actually an option in game where you can slow down the battle. Plus your team is 2/3 powered by AI, and with auto-battle, and paradigm shift you really don’t have to do much, but still think really fast. But where am I going with this, Final Fantasy isn’t great, I still found myself relieved to be playing more Fable II this week, and just loved that game so much more.. Can’t wait for Fable III
I loved the mysticism and adventure on an epic level. All of that was apparent in FF 10 and 9. Oh and I like the weird hair too.lol But im just not a fan of real time battle.
such as in FF 12, and it seems like 13 is that way, am I right?
@wherewhenwhat its definitely got too much glamour, I liked it more when it was just grandiose science, and weird hair. I also missed 11, and 12..
6 7 8 9 10 those were all pretty Awesome games. how could u miss all of em? damn. The series has been on an obvious decline sense then. The storylines getting mixed up in scfi euphoria / glamour show. and the music…blehh american idol type pop.
@willxisxveganx Haha, yeah, its a really good game.
Not quite as good as the hype makes it out to be, but not that far off either.
FF9 on the other hand is sheer genius.
(You can see which type of fanboy I am
Damned FF fanboys…always ranting on about how amazing their favourite FF is
)
lol, you are right! I’ve read everything about final fantasy 7, but never played it. This is obviously guilt from never playing that one either. lol
Btw, lmao @ 0:10
Obviously been brainwashed by the FF7 fanboys!
About FF’s style: Tbh, the FF series is like a chameleon – it changes with every iteration. Admittedly, you can tell that FFXIII is very Nomura, Kitase and Toriyama influenced like FF10 (and sort of FF7 and 8 as well), but nevertheless it does forgo lots of FF staples such as an open world and varied side quests.
That said, I haven’t had time to play FF13 yet. I’ve had no time for gaming in general! Maybe in summer I should get an Xbox 360 and try out games like Fable and Mass Effect…
@BreachedWall Thanks! We all have our favorites..
thanks for the reply.
Ahhh, you missed out all the best Final Fantasys!
My favourite is FF9. Decent review.
