FFXIII NCU Part 026 – Mark Mission 12 – Geiseric

I want to unlock Chocobos so I can farm some gil without fighting battles. To unlock Chocobos, you must complete the following missions: 1 to 2 to 3 to 5 and 7 to 12 to 13 to 14. Preparations: The R&D Depot is available now, so let’s get some much needed upgrades. I maxed out the Platinum Bangle (75390 EXP) I got from Mission #3. And I bought another Mythril Bangle and maxed it out as well (34740 EXP). For weapons, max out Tier I versions with the best magic stat for each character. Bladed Lance (because I’m an idiot and sold the Partisan; 24600 EXP), Pearlwing Staff (33000 EXP), Wild Bear (24600 EXP). I had to sell just about all my extra crap to get the money for these upgrades, but it was absolutely necessary. NOTE: DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES SELL ANY DOCTOR’S CODES!!!!! Basic strategy: Geiseric is easy to stagger but has a lot of HP and devastating attacks for an NCU party. Start in SAB/SAB/RAV until Deshell lands. Then switch to SAB/MED/RAV until you get a stagger. If at any point you see “Percussive Blow”, switch to SEN/MED/SEN right away. Then resume attacking. During Stagger, you can interrupt all of Geiseric’s actions if you keep your actions staggered and continuous. Use COM/RAV/RAV or, if you must, COM/MED/RAV during staggers. After the first stagger, switch to SAB/MED/SEN to prepare for “Murderous Might”. Upon seeing this, cancel any actions with Fang. Then target Geiseric’s Fist and immediately switch to SAB/SAB/RAV.
