Final Fantasy XIII: How to beat Cie’th Mission 51- Attacus + Cutscene [HD]
This is the final mission in the Titan’s Trials and definitely the hardest. My theory was that as he can only be staggered after 16 minutes of building up the gauge (give or take a few minutes), it was more beneficial to raise the gauge to 300% and then just use cerberus. Yes someone will bring up the fact that I’m overlevelled, but so what? That tactics are good so live with it.
This is it… Long gui in one stagger, in less than 2:30. I was quite happy with this, but a HUGE word of warning; when Hecaton is ‘out’ Long Gui can’t really get up, as it slows him down loads. So get poison active and have it wittle away about 3 million HP before you dismiss Hecaton. I have 3x mag crest and genji glove on vanille, 3x kaiser knuckle on fang and genji glove, and 4x kaiser glove on lightning. Make sure you have lightning cast enfire: it’s essential! he normally sheds debuffs after he pulls out another blade, so use this chance to use syn/syn/med (remember, fang and vanille can cast some -era spells). Then have a sen/sen/sen ready to soak the damage. Tier two weapons level 45+ are recommended, as are power gloves and weirding glyphs.
@kingratchet93 The reason they stay is beacause I recast them. The trick is to cast essential debuffs, so imperil, deshell and deprotect, then switch between med/med/comm and rav/rav/comm to heal and build the gauge up. It should take no longer than 5 minutes to get this high, then switch to comm/comm.comm.
ok hold up. i have four cystarium roles up to lv 5 on each character. i have almost as much hp as u but what i dont understand is that when u used ur shrouds some of them stayed with u the entire fight. everytime i use the sabatuer role on this guy he gets rid of them fast. after a certain period of time he cast death on me

@safrica1234 i finaly beat him.. around 17000 i was..still took 12 minutes..glad thats over. fun battle though.
@Cancer8006 ok, go out there, post a video of you beating him within the time limit… the tactics work as I have beaten him with light onn 11000 hp, but it took 14 mins so i could’nt upload
anyone can beat him at that level…my hp is still around 15000 and i still cant beat this fag…time to do some more ginding i guess

@sk8t3rb0yy i think that only happens if the battle has lasted more than 10 minutes.
do u no that if you do, Army of One (lightning) Cold Blood (Sazh) Last resort (Hope) and Death (vanille), while it does that short 5 second cutscene before the move hits, change to commando, u actually do more damage. I debuffed Attacus and casted death, switch to commando whilst it just started and did 99999 damage whereas it would be like 30000 on sabatour
@sk8t3rb0yy He only casts doom if you ake to long in the battle (normally 10-15min+). Just go all out attack and beat him as quickly as possible. Also make sure you have debuffs active, and if you don’t have a strong party it’s wise to have vanille as a ravager constantly boost the chain gauge.
Hey when I get him to around 488k of health left he usually casts doom on me is there a certain thing I can do to avoid that or is it just bad luck for me?
