Final Fantasy XIII Eidolon Walkthrough – Odin Battle
One of my favorite Eidolons/GFs (he appears in more than one game) He is also pretty hard, and it took 3 tries to figure out how to kill him. Even in this fight that I recorded, I had to figure out which Paradigm to use. (Not to mention, Hope died, twice, before could heal him, sorry hope!) At the beginning of the battle, Odin will unleash a round of vicious attacks on you, (this is where my first two tries tragically ended) so be ready with the Double Dose Paradigm (will make Lightning and Hope play as the Healer Role) SO when he attacks you can constantly heal each other. If you don’t do this, expect to die within the fist 10 seconds of battle. After he does this, he may move towards a character and pause. In this time, you have just a little more than 5 seconds to attack without interruption. Use the dualcasting paradigm (will make Lightning and hope Ravagers) and assault him with spells. This is the best way I could find to kill him. When he lowers health of Hope or Lighting to about 1/3 of their maximum life, you may want to switch to Double Dose again, and heal each other. Keep switching back and forth between the two paradigms until the Gestault Gauge is full, then end the fight. Again, sorry about the poor quality and gameplay, I was playing and recording at the same time.

@Tommypassthefield Its not just the tv, its also that im playing and recording, at the same time, lo. I mgiht try using a dvd to record. The sound is better in my next 2 though, since I sued bass speakers.
Seriously get a better TV.

@ddalyx who is hope? jk yeah ok I guess I should read the datalog more often then,but it seems kinda boring…
@MegaSillykid that was simple. It is explained in the datalog in the storyline that Odin saw Hope as an obstacle for lightning and went to kill him for it.
@ddalyx Yeah that happens to me too, but the Eidolons do that in the movie scenes as well…they go for the other person…kinda weird…

You’ll find that this tends to happen a lot, the eidolons will go for your allies first, at least thats how it happens with me lol.
LOL I don’t get it…in the beginning why does Odin try to kill Hope(in the movie seen) haha what would he gain from that? Isn’t he supposed to fight the one who summoned it?
