Final Fantasy XIII – Boss #19: Bahamut
I really hate this battle. Mostly because they change your party right before it, and the paradigm selections they give you is not efficient enough IMO. The goal once again is to amass chain bonuses, but like Odin he attacks quickly and ruthlessly. There are three ways you can go about this: 1. If this is your first time fighting him, then the game won’t let you set up your paradigms. In this case start with SAB/MED/COM and try and get slow on him. After his series of attacks spam potions (Doctor’s code helps) and try again. Hopefully you can get it within the first two tries. If Bahamut decides to focus on Lightning then your job just became easier. Once Slow in on him, stick to this paradigm and spam slow and curse on him, healing when needed. Eventually you can press square to finish this. 2. If you’re fighting this on a retry and you skip the cutscenes beforehand, you’re allowed to setup your paradigms. In this case setup these two: SEN/MED/MED SAB/MED/SAB Start with SAB/MED/SAB and cast slow and other debuffs on him, switching to SEN/MED/MED whenever he gets near. Eventually his gestalt gauge will fill and you can end it. 3. Use a fortisol and aerisol beforehand, and use one of the above strategies.

i cant even last for even the doom counter to even reach 1740 (from 1800). he would do that same move on 0:19 tiwce. one after another. and boom game over. not even giving a chance to even giving fang a chance to even use potion…..*sigh* its chapter 5 last boss all over again for me. all the bosses were ez all the way to this point (- odin, that boss that keep changing weakness, and this guy)
taking advantage of AoE stuff is even harder in this game than ff12
it was a good idea to keep him occupied with lightning otherwise he would be smashing your whole party instead of just her
I also tried to do that but was unsuccessful
The random paradigms give me a headache

Holy crap that was way too easy, and with underdeveloped characters, too!
I wish all bosses were like this XD
took me 3 times but dunno why but at the last time i tried it bahamut was easy x)

@VampPrincessMaya i beat the game now, and im making my third tier 3 weapon, think i have gotten better fairly quickly lol
did you just found out and you tat far in the game wow nice genius not to be mean or anything i just found it funny
@MASTERBORG6 I prefer having Lightning as a Commando except when i have the Evened Odds Paradigm…. Lighting is a Medic in that one and the others are synergist/saboteur…
ahhh, i get it you do scouting party, so he focuses one guy instead of 3 GEENIUSSSS
@MASTERBORG6 It’s up to you and the setup of your party. Lightning is sorta like a Red Mage in that she doesn’t really excel at one role compared to the others but is well rounded in general. But I think, if you’re using Fang or Snow in your party, then you may as well make her a primary Ravager.
what is better? lightning as ravager or as commando? please reply
